Dear Developers: Beyond Good and Evil
No one expected the cult-classic Beyond Good and Evil to get a sequel, not after 6 years and poor sales; but we are getting it, probably next year. [As a side-note, it's hard to believe it's been six years since Beyond Good and Evil came out, the graphics look outstanding even today.] So this revival edition of Dear Developers will be about Beyond Good and Evil 2, what will hopefully be a sequel worthy of the first game.
.
1. More Cities

More of these places.
One of the best things about Beyond Good and Evil was that you could see the effects of your actions in the townspeople. As you revealed the connections between the Alpha Sections and the DomZ, you could see citizens protesting using your research as evidence. On top of that, just talking to the random people about things was interesting. As such, having more cities with more people who may react differently to whatever you do in the next game would be very interesting. One city may brand you a hero, another be apathetic or even hostile; just a more lively world that makes you feel like you’re making a difference.
.
2. More Things To Do On the Side

More of this.
Beyond Good and Evil had a fair amount of side-missions, but they were of the randomly grabbing an item variety. Which isn’t bad, I want those in the sequel, but I want things with actual stories to them. It would be another way to expand the world while also expanding gameplay. Just something besides the near-identical looters caverns from the first game.
.
3.More Equipment

See those shoes? They give +1 to stealth. (But seriously don't do it like that)
I don’t want too much more equipment, part of the original games’ strength was its simple inventory system and combat, but I would like a few extra things. Heck, it could just be a few upgradeable weapons; doesn’t have to be anything special. Just throw us a few new tricks every once in a while.
.
4.Explanations

Like this whole section of the plot has some 'splaining to do.
If you’ve played the first Beyond Good and Evil, you know that the ending was a bunch of random things happening with no explanation. They clearly were going to explain that in the sequel, but for a long while that didn’t seem like it would be happening. Now it’s coming, so some explanation as to why and how Jade is suddenly Jesus and what was up with Peyj at the end of the credits. Don’t leave us on another cliffhanger for a sequel that will take another 6 years to be made.
.
5.Don’t be all QTE on us
While this may be a joke video from Destructoid, the overabundance of Quick Time Events could really happen. I hope it doesn’t, but it is possible. As cool as that video looks, QTEs are about the only way you could get that to work, and QTEs are rarely handled well.
.
6.Make it Longer

I may have run out of images
Just a little bit, just enough to sate my Beyond Good and Evil thirst between this one and the conclusion of the trilogy. Make the story longer, give us the side missions mentioned earlier, and just make it a bit longer so we can all be further showered in Beyond Good and Evil goodness.

cool! good timing with your last article, lol.
